Eastern Lancaster County Library Announces Community Resource Fair at New Holland Council Meeting | Community News

When: Meeting of the Borough Council of New Holland, May 3.

What happened: Eastern Lancaster County Library Superintendent Anna D’Agostino and Deputy Superintendent Jen Watson told borough council that the library is hosting a community resource fair from 10 a.m. to noon on June 4. The event will launch a summer reading program called “Oceans of Possibilities”. The fair features food, music and crafts.

Library Resources: D’Agostino reported that the library has more than 40,000 items for all ages, including books, e-books, audiobooks, research databases, music CDs, DVDs, kits family STEM and more. Watson talked about a variety of children’s and youth shows showing this summer. Details are online at elancolibrary.org.

More information: The library is located at 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland. It serves the townships of Caernarvon, Earl and East Earl; Boroughs of Terre Hill and New Holland.

Pool opening: Council Member John Styer said repairs are underway at the pool and it is scheduled to open on Thursday 9th June. Summer hours are noon to 7 p.m. daily, depending on weather and availability of lifeguards.
