Political/community experience: Former Broomfield City Councilor for five years (worked with their 1977 Home Rule Charter) and Chairman of that city’s Building and Construction Review Board for 23 years.

Education: Scientific baccalaureate, civil engineering. Graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley.

If voters choose to go ahead with Home Rule, what issues will you seek to address in the charter in the first place regarding Erie’s growth and future? : The self-government charter I want is one that will give city residents a better voice in how government is run and the services they provide. This self-government charter should divide the city into wards so that all wards are equally represented, making it easier for representatives to campaign and connect with their constituents. (Electing everyone on a general basis does not provide equal representation.) Our new self-government charter should be simple and straightforward, and not cluttered with numerous regulations and policies in the self-government charters of some of our neighboring cities.
