Food Network star Valerie Bertinelli tells a special and rare story about Eddie Van Halen

Last January, the Valérie’s home cooking the host made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Between discussions of self-love moments in Hollywood, Valerie reflected on when she reconnected with her late ex-husband Eddie Van Halen a few years before her death in October 2020. As she reminded Kelly, the two actually got back to each other when she brought food to their son wolfie‘s home one night. He happened to be visiting and, as they say, the rest is history.

“I took the leftovers because I always have, you know, stuff at home too, because I always practice before I do it,” she said. “And I took him to Wolfie’s and that’s where Ed went. And it all starts the whole story of this reconnection that Ed and I had over the last few years of his life.”
