Physiotherapy Network Acquires Somerset Family PT
Professional Physical Therapy’s latest acquisition – Somerset Family PT – expands its footprint in the Garden State to over 60 locations, not to mention over 200 locations in the Northeast.
Somerset Family PT is a private orthopedic clinic founded in 2004 by Kevin and Eileen Kurtz. According to the May 31 acquisition announcement, Kevin Kurtz will remain at the firm, located at 14 Worlds Fair Drive, as Clinic Director. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
According to the Somerset Family PT website, Kevin Kurtz has practiced in New York and New Jersey, specializing in orthopedics, sports injuries, postoperative care and workers’ compensation. Previously, he worked for the Kessler Institute in West Orange and continued in sports-oriented orthopedic practices in New Jersey and Manhattan over the next 10 years. He was also director of rehabilitation for Ford Motor Co. in Edison.
Kevin Kurtz graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree and from the University of Delaware with his master’s degree in physical therapy.
“It’s critical to us that our partners share the same values as we do, and Kevin and his team clearly do,” Professional PT CEO Steve Schneider said in a statement. “We are proud to welcome them into the family of professional physiotherapy. We are delighted to continue an exciting year of growth. »
Patients at the Somerset site will now have access to other professional physiotherapy sites, certified telehealth clinicians, extended hours networked with most major insurances. Professional PT provides outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation services in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
